“Odyssey’s “Thriller”… is a delightful Danse Macabre! As for humor, there were bucket-loads. Laughs abounded during a Romeo & Juliet- inspired Frankenstein & Frankenstein and Jason Jam, a work that used a lot of percussive dancing, à la Stomp, that spotlighted three Friday the 13th villains dancing with ice picks, machetes and, of all things, chain saws. The whole idea was cool.” – Scott Iwasaki, from Deseret News.

Odyssey Dance Theatre blasts off with a world-class show, there’s passion, charm, and sublime choreographic invention. The talented dancers combine the classical beauty of ballet with the attack of jazz; the freedom of modern dance with the raw exuberance of hip-hop; the syncopated rhythms of tap and the fluid partnering of ballroom. This is the spirit of Broadway and Vaudeville combined to create a renewed dance vocabulary and entertainment genre that engages audiences across the country and all over the world. This is a show that you absolutely must catch, and then make it part of your annual tradition, bring your family, bring your friends! It’s a killer affair of monumental proportions that all lovers of dance and theatre will absolutely kill for!
